Dear Numo Jaeger & Michael Miller=20

This is a question which is about the physical character of a glaze not =
its chemistry. The quick answer is that photons of light can get between =
the spaces and miss the electrons and nuclei of the atoms without being =
stopped in their tracks. If the photons hit something and are deflected =
or have their energy captured then the stuff becomes opaque. Please do =
not ask for a better explanation because you will not understand the =
mathematical models unless you have done a BSc with a large slice of =
materials science. IF you want a reference get in touch.
