Are you talking about a crusty, foamy look to the surface of the glaze, or a
transient crackling, prickling sensation when you touched the glaze? I had
understood the latter.
As you know, I don't do reduction firing, but I noticed this same feeling on
the screen of an old television set we used to have. It always happened
after turning it off. Not much help, huh?
