I'd like to begin adding gum to one of my glazes to make it easier to
brush on. How much gum to I add? Since it's a liquid, how do I
calculate that is relation to percentage/weight?

thanks alot....Lois

That is how I do: I have very good C.M.C. called "Peptapon". I melt it in
hot water. I do it 1/20 1 Peptapon, 20 water.
If the recipe calls for 1% and I have 100 grams batch, means, I have to add
20 grams liquid cmc.
As I said my cmc is very strong, so I start lower amount than I suppose to
and goes up, if it is needed. The limit of this material, is that it slows
dawn the drying of the glaze.
