Hello Kurt?

What did you decide? How is it going?

After all the information and thoughts on Digital Cameras I have
been hoping to hear that One Eye Jack, aka Happy Jack, aka Jumping
Jack aka Kurt Wild has purchased his new camera, memorized the
manual, and has been happily clicking away at his loads of new pots.

Or did we overwhelm him and he decided his trusty old Brownie was
good enough for another year? Being of an exacting engineering bend,
perhaps he has tried each camera in turn and is preparing a 100 page
write-up of the different models.

Yes, I have made a purchase. I am a "happy Jack"! My first choice was the
Olympus 460D Zoom. In addition, I would have purchased a rechargeable
battery and charger, 16 MB memory card in addition to the 8 sold with the
camera and a card reader. I roughly figured the total cost might be just
under $700.

On the other hand, after all the Clayart help (which is much appreciated)
on digital cameras and just as I was close to making a purchase, I received
an Intel newsletter. In it the "Intel Pocket PC Camera" was pictured and
described. First of all, the price was right so I rushed over to Best Buy
to see it. I bought it for $149.99 plus Minnesota sales tax of $9.75 for a
total of $159.74. I don't know what the price would be over the internet
since I did not check - just a case of wanting it now!

You can find out more about it at this web site:

Not exactly 100 pages but long. I wanted to wait a few more days and to
post my report (which is already written) and photos on my web site but I
also wanted to make an adjustment in some buttons on my web site before I
did. And also post a few scenery photos as well..... so hang on a few days
longer.

If you can't wait for the full report and scenery photos go to my web site:

Once you are there click on the "Stoneware" button. Next scroll down to
the end of that section and click on the "Available work"" button. Once it
downloads you'll see Intel photos of the current pots, decorated
incidentally, as "one eyed Jack".
