I understand your methodology and used much the same myself when =
teaching. I also accept the reasons you give for wedging grog into a =
clay, that it provides better pathways for evaporation during the drying =
phase and also better hot strength during firing, so reducing warping. =
Now. from your industrial experience, is there a difference between the =
behaviour of clay with bisque grog and clay with molochite or similar =
high fired vitrified clay? Also, does it make a difference if it is =
incorporated during or after manufacture. Whatever your answers there =
must be a good explanation. So this is not rhetoric.
