Hi, Autumn.

Sorry I misunderstood you. Yes, the sodium hexametaphosphate should work for
attaching handles. Lots of people used to use it before Calgon stopped
selling it. I think this may be the same stuff that used to be in "Mr.
Bubble" bubblebath. The company had to stop using it because it was found to
be a carcinogen. I doubt you'd get enough exposure to worry about, just
attaching handles, but I can see why you wouldn't want your child bathing in
it.
