Kelly,
I had a young high school student a few years ago who had a stroke and
couldn't use her right hand. Luckily, I had a reversable electric wheel
and she got very good at throwing with her left hand. She couldn't make
very big things, but centered quite well by bracing her arm on her leg
and pushing toward the center of the wheel (soft clay was helpful of
course). She opened with her thumb and then pulled the walls up with her
thumb on the inside and her fingers on the outside. It was a great
experience for her and me too.
Cheers,
