Hi June:

From what I've seen with this ash, chuns are indeed possible. When I was
trying to determine a good flux ratio and starting point for the biaxials I
did a line blend with Minspar(soda spar) and Tennessee woodash. In the
range of 80 spar/20 ash and 90 spar/10 ash there were some very nice chun
blues. One of the "nuka" glazes in the set I did has the ever so slight
hint of chun blue wafting through a "claire de lune flush". Very nice
stuff and I'm hoping to encourage some more of this activity. I need to
get a web site so I can put some of these tests on the net. One of these
