For those of you who are interested in an exhibition venue for the next
NCECA, a group of volunteers is currently organizing an exhibition to
feature Contemporary South Carolina Ceramic Art. The exhibition will
coincide with the NCECA conference in Charlotte. As one of several
national and regional exhibitions located at Winthrop University, this
exhibition will be included on the bus tour.

The exhibition is open to all artists, 18 and older, who use clay as
their primary medium and who have established residency in the state of
South Carolina for at least 6 months. Students who maintain residency
in another state but are currently enrolled in South Carolina colleges
and universities are also eligible.

Both utilitarian and sculptural entries are encouraged. Artwork will be
juried by slides. Each artist may submit up to three works. Thanks to
a grant from the South carolina Arts Commission, THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE.
The juror for this exhibition is William Brouillard, Professor of
Ceramics at the Cleveland Institute of Art.

POST MARK DEADLINE for submission is December 15.
