I like a direct plunger,not the kind that you have to =
hook into a notch and pull from and then do it again.
It is hard to use those without "kinks" in the extrusion.
square or round doesn't much matter to me. Barrel =
size will be more relevant. I like a small one =
because it is adequate for my needs and I think =
it is easier to operate and fill.
if you buy one, the "kit" of dies should come included =
in a package price, negotiate for one if it is not =
packed that way. They are expensive later, unless =
you are handy with tools and can make them. Buying one =
that you can make the dies for would be good. =
I only know one person who built it themself =
and says they are happy. They don't extrude much. =
It is a product worth buying pre made and then making dies.
Hope this helps. I bought a Northstar small barreled kit,
after much research and using several types over the years.
I am very happy with it, I use it weekly.
