A little bit of Clayart competition at Redhill these days.
New kids are into hand building, drum forms. Superb dry finish.
Did I say handbuilding. Shouldn't have. They are beak builders. A couple =
of Murray Magpies have taken up residence in the big Blue Gum which =
shades the new studio in the mornings. They seem to have used a mixture =
of clays and grass for reinforcement. Looks a good solid well engineered =
structure. Nothing shabby about it. Smooth vertical walls set fair and =
square on a solid fork.
Well, that's a bit of competition for the Mud Wasps.
Best regards,
Ivor.

Ivor,
Ever fired a chough's nest? Different clays, different results. Welcome
swallow nests are good to fire but you have to provide a backing if you want
to use it for something.
