Anyone have any recommendations for clay supplies in Austin,
TX?
My son just got his kiln hooked up after moving there a few
months ago.
He fires cone six electric. He lives East of Round Rock.

Armadillo Clay is the major supplier in Austin. I don't know if there are
others there. Hood Clay in San Antonio is near, too. They tend to handle
very similar clays, for the most part. I did not like the grolleg porcelain
that we got for a workshop at Armadillo. Other than that, I've found their
clays to be reliable.

I like Armadillo clays so much that I have it shipped 5000 pounds at a time
to Michigan. I used it when I lived in the Rio Grande Valley and believe it's
far superior to any clay available here.
