Turquoise Turquoise Turquoise. I had a nice Turquoise glaze, could not pass
it, was not mine. Except the beauty was terrible, runny, sticks to the
shelves, based on A LOT of soda Bicarbonate, means, a very mean glaze. I
made many tests, to get a nice low fire Turquoise, without using of lithium
carbonate. This glaze, at my studio is mainly for my students mostly
children. I am know, from earlier tests, that glazes with A LOT of sodium,
leach, and get kind of white spots. The last test, I made last week, was
very easy, yes, after many testings, and getting some experience. I will
write
it here, first with "my local" European frits, than with a converting to
N.A. (North American) materials. The way my result was, through Insight, I
suggest to add some C.M.C. . I believe, you can make this glaze it a
different way, using one of the G.B. substitutes.
