Hi all:
With all the talk about powdered manganese and black clay that has been =
coloured with manganese, what about the safety of clays that have =
granular manganese in them for a speckled look. I know a lot of people =
who use clay bodies like that. What about the fumes from firing such a =
body? Is there any data on this stuff. Do the clay makers have any =
liability? Yikes!

Hi,
You can mix granular manganeze with wax resist and brush on the surface
for a spotty /speckled look. We did with c/5 one fire reductuion. Mike
