I could use a little help from anyone familiar with saggar fired =
reduction lusters done with fuming rather than purchased lusters. There =
is not a whole lot of published information, at least not here in =
Guatemala, or on the net, but I've had some nice success. It seems that =
people tend to keep the specificsof this process to themselves and don't =
seem to share info much.I assume that not too many people are doing work =
with this, since there's no information I can find. My question for =
anyone who knows, or thinks they know, is: what can make the =
spectacular results harder on the glazed pot? The results on terra sig =
are wonderful, and total metallic silver, but on previously 06 glazed =
earthenware, they are spectacular, but can be washed off with a sponge. =
Question: what can I do to make the luster finish harder and adhere =
better to the glazed ware? I am so limited here with so little in terms =
of available chemicals/resources to do much experimentation, but can =
order a little from the states if it would help but need some direction =
to go in........thanks, Melinda Collins=20
