Tested on mid range white stoneware, fired to 1220, oxidation

Receipe:
50 Neph. Syenite
25 Dolomite
5 Whiting
20 Ball clay

comments: may give crystals is cooled slowly.

Results:
White matt glaze with toasty brown edges where thin. Stable, no =
discernable difference when dipped twice.
Very nice feel. This glaze is very similar to Marcia Selsor's Waxy =
White in both color and feel, but this receipe=20
is G.B. free. =20

Personal: This glaze is has a great feel and if goes through the next =
few tests well, could well become one of my studio workhorses
for liner glaze and basic white. Can't get enough of that feel! Do not =
see any crystals.

ADDED
1 Cobalt
5 Rutile
resulted in a taupe/green ground with light blue speckling. Also some =
light green high spots when dipped twice.
