Can someone who is familiar with the workings of the Oxyprobe system of =
determining the reducing qualities of a kiln atmosphere please help me =
by supplying the following information..
Can you please give values which relate your meter measurements to
A. The percentage of Oxygen in your kiln atmosphere.
B. The Partial pressure of Oxygen in your kiln atmosphere.
Clarification will help me to relate to information I read recently in =
Introduction to Ceramics by Kingery et al.
I have seen a table of values for oxygen concentration but these seem at =
odds with some of the reading quoted by potters taken from their meters, =
like "off the scale of the table". It is also possible that if there is =
a relationship between gas partial pressure in a kiln tmosphere and the =
concentration given by the meter reading that predictions can be made =
about temperatures for achieving good reduction.
