Hello, :)

Thank you for the replies and the amount of information. I can safely say,
I have all I need to create a great mold :)

Recap:
USG #1 Pottery plaster is the preferred plaster; the only place in the
Chicago area that has it is Lance Gypsum and Lime Co in Chicago,
773.522.1900. (I have yet to call though)
USG #1 Moulding Plaster is next to best; less durable, easier to find
(suggested USG tech support line; nice folks)
Use freshly bagged plaster
Use gloves; very caustic
Use mold soap release agent
Have all your ducks in a row once the plaster is mixed; set time is rather
quick

USG offered help in determining the sizes on both of the following by just
calling them up with the final products dimensions. See www.usg.com to
contact info.

Use (fips?) head to mix plaster; size of head depends on amount to be mixed
Use a slide rule provided by USG to calculate batch size needed

Thank you again,

Fabienne

Yes, I have learned from my mistakes...
I can reproduce them exactly.
