Dean,
I think everyone will agree you should not be firing unvented kilns in your
house. Not ever.
Solutions?

Well, you can install a ventilation system for each kiln. Go for the best.
Don't cut corners. Follow all directions. Vent to the outside. Uses this
way you can fire and be reasonably safe.

If you have a detached outbuilding with ventilation...a detached garage for
instance...why not move them out there? You still need to avoid breathing
the fumes but can open the doors and windows and go in to check temperature
every hour or so without undue exposure. If you have space you might even
consider putting in one of those prefab type buildings just for your kilns.

Air movement isn't enough for the in-home or in-studio situation. You have
to draw the fumes outside. Everybody on this list is going to worry about
you until you do something about this problem. Thank you for asking and
please take our concerns seriously.
