F. Carlton Ball Rust orange, cone 6, oxidation.

Tested on white, mid range stoneware, fired to 1220c, oxidation.

Receipe
BASE

44 Feldspar
5 Zinc oxide
19 Colemanite
6 Dolomite
2 Whiting
5 KY Clay
19 Flint
Subs: Ball clay for KY clay.

ADD
2.5 RIO
3.5 Tin oxide

Resulted in a stable rust orange gloss iwth some lighter speckling. =
Nice feel on surface. =20

A quick question....what is RIO?? I am an Australian and have never
heard of this ingredient.
