Hi- Thanks to everyone who responded to my Shino question. Now, another =
one: I am nearly at the end of my old spodumene: greyish, from Montana. =
What is now available, from Australia, is white and sparkles a little. =
We've been using this at Mudflat: the spodumene glaze is white instead =
of yellow/tan, but still gets those toasty orange highlights. The same =
with the school shino glaze. I'd really like to hear more about =
people's experiences with this new spodumene, and whether or how glazes =
need to be modified when using it. Thanks,
Lana in Somerville, MA

my last name is Reeves. Very strange, I never came across another =
person named Lana until I started working with clay, and now I've met or =
heard of five. Are women named Lana drawn to clay? Does naming a child =
have anything to do with their destiny? :o)
