I want to announce the opening of a new space devoted to showing local,
regional, and national clay artists. The TCC-SE Ceramics Gallery will have
it's first show this spring. Carl Block and Jim Dale will have an
exhibition of recent work from January 16 - February 16, 2001.
Carl Block of Waxahachie, TX is known for his whimsical polychrome
earthenware sculpture including face jugs. Jim Dale of Salado, TX operates
Salado Pottery and specializes in cone 10 reduction and soda-fired
functional stoneware. In addition to the exhibitions the two artists will
conduct a workshop at the college in February.
