Thanks Dannon and Mel..I had already decided that i would try the shino route
at cone 6. Have been playing with glaze recipes.. We will see.!. Jim in
Denton.

I dont fully understand this "Shino thing"; but, i am trying! Hs anyone
had experience and recipes for Shino at Cone 6 Reduction.. If so, i could use
some advice and some good starting points. Mel --- how about carbon trap
at Cone 6? Thanks... Jim in Denton. and yes. there are Potters in Denton Tx

Lori Leary in S.C. has done some cone 6 shino, and there's no reason anyway
that it shouldn't be possible. - Shino glazes melt early. They like hot,
and I think they get more luscious at higher temps, but try some, or check
with Lori, see what she might have altered if anything.
Why NOT carbon at ^6?
LOTS of potters in Denton, TX.
