Gayle Bair on wed 13 dec 00
Sandy,
Now THAT is a station I would
"pay for view".
Gayle Bair- still laughing on Bainbridge Island WA
where I saw a dozen or so snow flurries today!

When I would get home from the tavern around 2:20 AM or 3 AM I would turn
on the TV ( no cable in 1974) and if the winds were right over the lake,
I would pick up a Canadian station. The program I looked forward to
opened with a hunky young man asleep bare shouldered with a gold chain
under a white sheet on a bed with an iron headboard. His clock radio
would light up and a sultry woman's voice with a decidedly French
Canadian accent would say " John-Paul....John-Paul......wake up.....wake
up, John- Paul". And he would turn and raise languidly up on one elbow
looking deep into my eyes ( the camera) and say in his own sultry
masculine French Canadian accent , " Oh.....it is you...." and then he
would smile. The next 30 minutes he would share ways for men to please
women and women to please men in the courting phase of relationships.
I have the GREATEST respect for Canadians.
