Or it goes like this.....
We had a potter in a communal studio here that had heard or read a story
to the affect that Japanese potters collected and began preparation of
clay for the next generation. The story goes something like this. They
collect the clay into a huge pile outside and let it weather for years.
Supposedly they would go out there stand on the hill of clay and
urinate on it. Urine being good for the clay.
Anyway, this guy was saving his scrapes of clay in a bucket in his
space......
Some people commented on an unusual smell...
We actually figured out and stopped him BEFORE he recycled on the
communalwedging table and plaster......
