Bonjour

The technic named "bleuissage" (making blue) needs also steam with carbon
fuel for high iron glazes with a quick cooling.
In such a case you can obtain irisations with a silver-blue grey color.
French potter Jean Pierre Thomas makes use of damp sawdust an sand introduced
in the kiln. An other, Jean Girel, in his experimental kiln, uses water, drop
by drop, over the burners.

More details about "bleuissage" in the book written by Krause, Paul and
Zollner : "principes et techniques de cuisson des fours ceramiques" editions
Septima in french.
