We just did not continue with the energy
conservation practices we started in the 70's.
Our out of control demand has given the energy
producers the upper hand. They haven't built new
supply producing equipment because they do not
wish to comply with environmental safeguards and
they have been making plenty of money right
along. Some resource is still there for them to
extract, but they will not do it on any terms
but their own.
Quit blaming everyone else. It's about money. It
always is.
Conserve what you have as best you can. If it is
in the ground, it will be available later.
Regulations result from the decades of abuse by
industry.
