It's my turn to ask a novice question:
When calculating the percentage of water in a clay body, is the
correct method
A) % water =3D grams water/grams dry clay =20
or
B) % water =3D grams water/grams wet clay=20
=3D grams water/(grams dry clay + grams water)
OK, I know that by definition of percentage, I have to multiply by 100
also, but let's not be picky. It's not a trick question.
Thanks,
