Hi:
This recipe was developed and used for salt glazing by Victoria Crowell. I
think she's in New York State.
I use it at cone 10 in salt and as an underglaze in the reduction kiln. It
will probably function well as an underglaze only, down to cone 6. Be sure
to put a good stable glaze over this stuff to prevent leaching. In the
salt kiln, I only use it on the outsides of pots. In the other kiln, I put
highly fused, silica rich glazes over.
