I know pumice. i used to use it in my potting soil. i grow succulent plants
like Adeniums and Pachypodiums and other Caudiciform plants. When i lived in
Miami where it rains a lot i needed a soil that would drain quickly. My mix
was 50%pumice 50%peat kinda like my ash glaze which is 50%ash 50%red clay

Pumice is great in a soil mix. It does NOT float out of the mix like perlite
and airlite do.It cost more $5.00 per cubic foot. My first pumice came from
California from a succulent grower, but later i was able to get it from a
orchid supply house. Their pumice came from So America. They also sold other
stuff for plants.

Are there any other clay people into Succulent plants?????
