Does anyone know about what type of special offers might
be available at the show? I am thinking of attending for the
first time and I am trying to find out if it is a good buying
opportunity for me. Specifically I am looking to purchase
a new slab roller and extruder and possibly a new electric kiln.

The vendors area is really great but I would price shop BEFORE you
go to NCECA on things that you know you are interested in. It is
great to see the machines and goods there on the floor and talk to
the manufacturers rather than seeing it in a catalogue. Some are
even giving demo's on their wares but as far as price goes I came
back and found some things cheaper from some of the dealers,
especially big ticket items. Guess I paid for the demo. I must admit
that was crucial for me, to try to see if I could handle it, or I
probably would not have bought it.( my pug mill).
there were some small tools and glazes I hadn't seen before
which was nice but then I had to carry them home instead of having
them shipped. Bring a partially empty suitcase.
