A big THANK YOU goes out to Juliet Johnston for bringing David Hendley to
Mississippi ! The extruding workshop at Tougaloo was exceptionally
informative and entertaining. Two days worth of demonstrating and making
tools, then applying them to clay work, inspired and challenged the
participants.
David taught us a wide variety of things....... from making our own
extruder and dies, to altering extruded forms to make clay items that don't
even look extruded. It was truly a hands on workshop.
Some of us realized that the spiritual and creative feeling we have
toward working with clay can also be experienced when making our own tools
to use on the clay.
