I haven't posted for a while, hit some black ice and went off a bridge
embankment rolling twice and breaking my back, shoulder blade, wrist (both
bones of my left wrist, I'm left handed), two ribs, and bruised my heart so
I have spent some time in the hospital and in recovering. This happened
December 6th and I am now picking up the threads. I will have no permanent
disability and everything is healing well. This was a new experience for me
having never broken a bone or been in the hospital in my 48 years.
Credit Cards
I have had credit card services set up on my web site with real time
processing through NOVUS for a while. I got the merchant account through
COSTCO however I cancelled it this week. The reason being I was not
processing enough to pay the fees associated with the account and it turned
out I did not need real time processing and was manually running the cards
through a web page when I shipped. I now have signed up with Wells Fargo
through QuickBooks, accounting software from Intuit, and can process credit
cards directly from the invoice in my accounting program. The fees are a $10
set up and $14.95 per month for the service, you need a business checking
account to pay into and have the fees automatically deducted. You can apply
directly from QuickBooks online in the version I have (QuickBooks Pro 2000).
This account is limited so read the details to make sure it will do what you
want.
Digital Cameras
I have have not followed all of the threads but I have a Sony Mavica digital
camera and one of the primary reasons I chose it over others was the close
up ability. I was photographing jewelry and needed to get in close. I can
take my camera and focus it on the face on my watch filling the entire frame
as long as I leave enough room between the lens and the watch face for some
light to get in. At the time I purchased it there were no other cameras that
could give me that degree of close up with good focus in the stores I
shopped at, there may be now, it was about a year ago.
Hoping I heal soon so I can throw and fire. Thankful that I can do the web
design work from home and for voice recognition software during the first
month of recovery.
