hey joyce this is dayton and i share your compulsion to go right past
cone 10 ,its a blast and the magic seems to intensify as the pots get
hotter they get more and more charachteristic and they seem more alive
and it definitly sets your work apart in a lineup of similar stuff we
need to start a club for those of us who like to go way up there so we
can compare notes at cone 12 13 14 ...i heard the name of a band out here
in los angeles called "porno for pyros"and i couldnt help but laugh and
think of my super fast firing kiln ....so its settled the name of the
high fire club (anything over cone 10) is "P.F.P." which really means
PARADISE FOR PYROS or
PARADIGM FOR PYROS or
PRAYER FOR PAGANS .........AND SO ON
i gotta go now ill talk later
