The Fourteenth Annual Materials: Hard & Soft Exhibition at the Center for
the Visual Arts in Denton, Texas opened this past weekend. The exhibition
dates are January 27 - March 9, 2001. The show is a national contemporary
craft competition and exhibition of works done in metal, wood, clay, fiber,
glass, and paper. The show sponsor is the Greater Denton Arts Council.
This years juror was metalsmith/enamelist Harlan Butt.
I was fortunate enough to have a piece accepted (the second time I've been
in the show). Other clay artists include Jim Connell, Dwain Naragon, Erica
Wurtz among others. If you are in the Denton or Dallas/Fort Worth area stop
by and see the show.
