engobe - definition

I have always understood slip to be liquid clay and engobe to be a
slip containing non-clay materials.

Slip and engob, like dress and pants, similar use but not the same.This is
true, Slip has more clay, engob more none clay.
I send you here the Conard engob , the way appears in Lana Wilson's book.I
use it on dry, wet, raku, bisque up to ^6 ox.
