If anyone in the southeast is interested in the workshops sponsored by
the Florida Potters Guild (the University of FL student Ceramics group),
you can now join an e-mail list for workshop notices.

Workshops are generally held Thursdays 9-noon, potluck lunch, 1-4pm,
artist slides in the evening, and Friday 9-noon. Open to the public,
free, with a suggested $20. donation from non-students. The students
vote on who comes, and they've sponsored some great workshops. This year
we've had Justin Novak, Vince Burke, Walter Ostrom, and Mary Barringer.

Next school year students are planning on Matt Metz and Linda Sikora,
among others. If you'd like to be on the list for notices, send a
message to the listserv:

listserv@lists.ufl.edu

The message should say only:
subscribe FLPG-L yourfirstname yourlastname

We enjoy visitors, and invite anyone within striking distance to join
us. The Harn Museum on campus is one of several other recommended local
stops. Find information about current shows at the web site below.
Permanent collection includes some nice Asian and Pre-Columbian
ceramics, and an ambitious visiting exhibition schedule.

Hope to see you in Gainesville.
