cast iron, aluminum, steel, what a concept for cooking.
clay, not.
people have been messin with that stuff for ages. it just
does not work with present day technology on top of the stove.
leave it alone.
it is silliness in my opinion...and a waste of time.
same with drinking every day from a tea bowl. i like mugs,
mine, other peoples, blue one, brown one, funny handled one
from tony c. i over look the feel, love the glaze. i can't be
fumblin around with tea bowls while i am doing clayart at 6 a.m.
also:
i have a long pug mill, makes short clay. the `walker` is really
long. (this is in fun, not bugging the poster.) but, i wonder if
you can make long clay in a short pug mill?
also:
no more posts about looking for spring. sick of those. it was minus
F. this morning in minnesota. snow up to our butts. no end in sight (proof
of global warming).
so, i don't want to hear any more about spring. well, at least until
it arrives. grumpy in cold minnesota. ( i am doing swimming aerobics
now, three days a week. a one hour session....nice warm pool.) boy,
does that help get one in shape.
also:
aerni, no more complaining about hips hurting.....not when my thumbs
are killin me. just a sign of years of making pots. gotta rest them.
so, now that most things are off my chest...well, i can get back
to my work....reading books.

brian responds to mel:
neither would i mess with making high-fire flameware as a craft potter.
however it is produced safely, industrially. i am very pleased with my black
ceramic tea kettle, made in japan. there is no flaking enamel, nor rust, nor
mineral buildup. and the handle stays cool.
