I also have a Brent CXC. We replace the oil in the gearbox about once a year
or so, and thats about it.

I purchased this wheel in 1973. In has had about 4 new or rebuilt
electronics and is now on its 2nd motor. The first motor was rebuilt
probably 3 times with new windings, brushes, commutator ground, etc..
I also think that the rubber insert in the lovejoy coupling has been
replaced a few times also.

Last year we installed a new cartridge bearing.

This wheel has turned many pots and is now set up for turning plaster.

Good luck.
