Andy -
This is a bit perplexing. There is no such thing as a kiln specifically for
firing terra sigillata. Unless you are interested in pre-medieval
historical recreation you do not want to mess with the Roman grate kiln,
because it would be a complete pain in the ass. Terra sig can be fired in
any kiln. An electric toploader kiln is just fine. It probably depends on
what kind of effects you are seeking with terra sigillata, in which case we
need more information.
