For teachers of beginners on the wheel.
This web site in the Treasure Valley CC is intended to assist
beginning students in wheel work. It has series of photos of basic
procedures, and a number of Real Audio teaching movies (.rm),
featuring instructor Robin Jackson, which are downloadable to one's
local hard drive.
The sound quality, though adequate, could be better and the view is
limited to one camera, but the person doing the filming does helpfully
move the view - finder as necessary. The video clip is long enough
to give a greasonably good idea of the procedure being taught.
As an intermediate level student in clay work, I got a couple of good
new pointers and some excellent reminders of some basic techniques.
