Personally, I have never seen a more graceful thrower than Chris. His =
attention to detail is magnificent and he can teach you recognize =
details in your work like none other. Just one day with him can change =
your whole way of seeing pots. Don't miss out.

I took chris' penland class last summer, and he was the best man at our
wedding at the spruce pine town hall at the end of the session...I had
never met him before that class...I am a DIFFICULT student, but I learned
more about pots and art in 2wks with him than the rest of my life put
together. He is the best teacher of his subject matter that I have ever
had, for any subject in my life, and I've had a good many. In addition, he
is TOTALLY devoted to his students and the learning process. and finally,
an all around great guy, very sensitive, genuinely caring and extremely
generous with his time and energy. It is worth any amount of effort and
expense to work with him even if only for a day. the ones that do will
never forget it, and are lucky indeed.

ps...he's also an extremely modest and humble fellow, he'd be totally
chagrined to see this, so if any of you go, print a copy and take to him.

enjoy
