I have been reading an article about this subject in Tile and Brick =
International pp 34-39, 1/2001 February, Volume 17. A number if issues =
arise due to my ignorance. Your help is needed with information so that =
I may better understand the text.
1 Can anyone provide me with a copy of ISO/TC 189 which defines glaze =
quality perfection? This could be important information for all of us.
2 Does anyone know what Lithionate is? Is it just a pseudonym for =
Lithium Carbonate?
3 What is the chemical analysis of Hydrocalumite and how is it made? Can =
anyone explain how it is possible for a Hydrogen bearing compound to =
survive a firing to 1100 Celsius?
4 Has anyone any information about Rutile (Ti-frit #10), origin unknown.
5 The TiO2-CaO-P2O5 phase diagram is not featured in Levin et al. Is =
anyone familiar with it.
It is an interesting article by Prof. J. Q. Wu of South China University =
of Technology. One brilliant feature is a series of silhouette prints =
from a cinematic sequence of pellets of glaze sintering and fusing.
Looking forward to some interesting answers.
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis. Redhill, South Australia.
