Can you tell I'm cleaning out?

I have some beginning pottery books for sale.

Simply Pottery - Covers basic pottery techniques and has simple projects to
follow. (soft cover) asking $12

The Potter's Primer - Another introduction to pottery book. More involved
than the one above. (soft cover) asking $12

The Ceramics Glaze Handbook - This is the Mark Burleson book. A terrific
intorduction to glaze chemistry, glaze materials and glaze application.
(hardcover) asking $15

I found all of these books tremendously helpful when I was getting started.
They are all straight forward and well illustrated. Easy to follow. They
are all in good condition. I'm asking half the cover price for each.

Thanks,

Valerie

Maggie,
I just love this book (Ceramics for Gardens and Landscapes by Karin
Hessenberg). It is British, and I really enjoy the British clay books. I
have the paperback edition. There are many excellent photos, showing a wide
variety of work by mostly UK potters, but also a few potters from the US,
France, Denmark, Australia, with many details on technique. It is organized
by type of work, such as Fountains, Handbuilt Pots and Planters, Abstract
Sculpture, etc, and each chapter covers 5 or more potters, with information
about their background, studios, inspirations, and techniques. The photos
are both of the works and the making process in the studios. The author
herself is a potter and includes a section on her own work, but does not
focus on her work any more than any other potter included. It is both
inspirational and educational, and I would recommend it.
