I did a short workshop with girl guides (10 to 12 year old girls) last =
night. It went VERY well.
I started by giving some basic tips (and I mean basic), scoring and =
slipping, coiling, pinch pots. Then I let them have at it. Some began to =
create a specific thing right away. Others played with the clay and =
experiemented before creating that certain thing. I ended up bringing =
home the most amazing and imaginative items. Some of which I may try at =
home myself. I helped one girl create a whistle or ocarina from two =
pinch pots (this after doing one myself as I fooled around with some =
clay). After an hour a half we were done, I was paid, packed up and =
left. Now all there is to do it to fire it to glaze temp to vitrify the =
clay then return it to the guide company in a few weeks for them to =
paint.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some don't have film.
