remember, all of you that have never been to nceca.

all of this talk about dress up/down/ties etc is in fun.
it is a way to get excited about seeing one another.

come as you are, be who you are....we will take you
anyway you want to be.

ron roy will be on the couch, in the corner, talking about
glaze and clay body. he will have is little magnifying loop
out and look at all the glazes on every mug.
nils will be next to him, talking about god knows what.
kurt will be in and out, checking things off his schedule. he
will have color coded marks on all the events. then he checks them
off.
dannon will stand in the door, half way in, half way out. she does
not like crowds, so if it is too busy, well she will bolt.
she will be with her best pal, doug gray. we like doug.
joyce will come in, sit down with her gang, there will be loud
talk and laughing.
barbara brown will bring her pile of magnets, all stamps with
clay images on them from around the world...she is a dear.
of course, russell will have chocolate, from belgium. talk about
good.
the director of mug exchange will be doing her thing...she is the
best in the world at organizing things...don't mess with her.
mugs all over the room. snacks, treats, and a place to sit.
(most of the time)
you will hear squeeels of `hey, you, i know you, we post all the time`.
we will take you anyway you are.
just show up. it is a great place to see folks. real friends.

I will NOT "bolt". I may sometimes sort of slip away.
Purely from kindness, mind you - to make room for others
who may WANT to be inside a small crowded place. My
tendency to prefer more open/uncrowded spaces is
probably from my rural upbringing. Or maybe just a
little mild claustrophobia....not too serious. Only,
I am addicted to breathing, is all.

So I will take the dare, also. Our Leadin' Honcho said:

Well, no, not exactly. I want to see each and everyone of you, not a
select few ... even if you choose it to be from a distance... that's
okay. (Sometimes I'd like to distance myself from myself, but doesn't
seem to work.) AND I RARELY talk loud..... and NEVER LAUGH..... smile a
little maybe ... but that's it.... we are what we are .... sorry, facts
are facts.

Get it straight, Mr. Mayor baby.......
