fake ash glaze

My favorite fake ash glaze is

"Gatorskin"
This is Gator Country.

Alberta or Albany Slip 32
Whiting 20
EPK 8
Rutile (turns glaze yellow) 1 to 5%

As an addendum to what Mel has said about the importance of the clay
body to the glaze, I have used Rhodes 32 over porcelain with great
results.

I recently read a recipe for a ^ 9 fake ash glaze that had Ravenscrag clay,
whiting, and some clay. Does anyone remember seeing that recipe and if they
did would you send it to me offline.

This has been modified from that may also be in the archives ....
I had a nice test on porcelain, not much on stoneware.

25 OM4 Ball Clay
22 Red Art
5 Bone Ash
23.5 Dolemite
15 Strontium
2 Lithium
10 Gerstly Borate

that may not add to 100 due to subbing of Strontium for barium.

Since I missed the earlier Clayart posting that your responded to, would you
