I know Phil will get his knickers in a twist being Welsh and called an
englishman. I couldn't help it. I wanted to pay tribute to Joe Cocker, Leon
Russell and the madd Dawg.
the Proclaimers a Scottish band had a great tune "Cap in hand" that was
about having to take hand outs from the Brits. We as potters are kinda used
to taking what gets thrown our way. Maybe I am a whore, but I always think
it a priviledge to get asked for a slide for a book and give it away. the
pot is long since sold to god knows who and I don't look at my old pots or
trip down memory lane too often. If it should appear in a mag or book it is
a record of where I was at the time.
Many authors have the weakest pots in the book. Not so in Phils case- I like
alot of his pots. these authors surround themselves with the great work of
others and therefore get seen in that kind of company.
Will David send me a slide for the new book I'm considering- Nut Bars and
Potters I've Known". This book could be HUGE!

cheers,
Tony
P.S What can I trade ya for a big Texas road sign rib?
