Hi all. Happy to return and report I've solved that pesky s crack problem by
simply turning pots over as they dry.
Had my first broken kiln shelf. Not sure why. Just started high firing;
but I think this happened early into the firing-maybe too fast? Is there
such a thing as a life span for a shelf?
Also, after reading "Vapor Glazing with Biz Littell" in Clay Times, really
interested in the process. Anyone with more info on toxicity; damage to
kiln, etc? Any info would be appreciated.
