Hello John!
The 20/5 glaze is a base glaze. I think the reason people did not answer
you, including me was the way you asked was like "Hi! did anyone succeed
to drive a car? I saw it in http://www.mechanicar.com An American company"
.. To our business: The
greatens of this glaze is it's20 20..... and works good. Gives you
confidence as well as a good starting point with or without software.
I give here some hints for people that do not use software. I give them in
big numbers, the real tests you must do yourself. For sure you need a good
book or knowledge of materials colorants oxides interaction. I use V.C.'s
Handbook as well as TonyHansen's Magic Of Fire.
So it was
20 3134
20 Potash feldspar
20 wolastonite
20 flint
20 kaolin
Can try change the frit to 3110 add 2-5 copper oxide, for turquoise might
cause crackles
Or
20 3134
20 Potash feldspar
10 Zinc oxide + 1,2, or 3Nickel oxide for different blue try on buff clay
30 flint
20 kaolin
Or
20 3134
20 Potash feldspar
30 wolastonite
10 flint
20 kaolin for matte glaze.
Or
20 3134
20 Potash feldspar
20 wolastonite
20 kaolin
20 or 30 or40 magnesium carbonate for craters glaze.
All I wrote here must be tested it is based only of the way I know these
materials.
Of coarse you can go down to smaller numbers.
